About Us

Finding Inspiration in Every Step

Our aim to inspire, to make an impact and make change happen, through Dance.

Bare Feet

Our Story

Established in 1999, Dancebites has been active inspiring dance and fitness through dance, throughout South West London and Surrey for 25 years. Our aim is to inspire, through our fun and innovative classes, covering various genres such as Ballet and Tap. Our team comprises highly trained professionals that have a passion for teaching dance.

We specialise in delivering bespoke dance classes that take inspiration from a range of styles including Street dance, Ballet, Jazz, and Tap.

Our classes are dynamic and enjoyable, fostering a vibrant atmosphere. We strive to promote a sense of belonging and community among our students, enhancing their coordination skills, confidence and a love for movement.

We incorporate commercial music and impactful choreography to craft compelling routines. Together this makes an excellent form of exercise, improving fitness and stamina levels in students, without them realising this transformation.

Dancebites fosters unity among our students through shared routines,  bolstering self-esteem, focus, and demonstrating the values of dedication and reliability through group participation.

Founder and Principal

Movement is Life

Dancebites Academy of Dance was founded by Samantha Lindsay in September 1999. With over 30 years of dancing experience, Samantha trained at the Royal Academy of Dance, excelling in her classical ballet examinations. She earned a scholarship to the Academy of Live and Recorded Arts,(ALRA), where she completed a three-year professional diploma. During her time at ALRA, she achieved excellent results in Modern and Tap examinations, starred in three productions, and was awarded Dance Captain and Solo Artist.

After graduating from ALRA, Samantha sought to gain teaching experience in all the dance styles she had mastered. While pursuing her teaching career, she also performed at the London Palladium on Channel 4's The Big Breakfast and appeared as an extra in various TV programmes and films.

Following her certifications from the ISTD, Samantha founded Dancebites, specialising in classical ballet, street dance, tap, and contemporary. Over the years, Dancebites has grown rapidly, becoming a respected and well-known academy.

Twenty-five years after its establishment, Samantha remains deeply passionate about teaching dance and is thrilled and honoured to be taking over from Rachel, eagerly looking forward to welcoming you all!
